How big is it?

13 3/4 inches wide by 9 3/4 inches deep and about half an inch thick. The slate area we engrave is 7 by 8 1/2 inches.

What comes with it?

The acacia wood board, the slate serving top, and three tools. Two cheese knives and a cheese fork. The tools sit in cutouts in the wood so nothing gets lost.

What can I put on it?

Three designs to pick from. The monogram design uses two first names, a last name, a large initial, and a year. The address design uses a family name, a street address, and a year. The script design puts two names in handwriting style with a border, and leaves the middle open for food. If you want something else, just ask.

Do I get to see it before you engrave it?

Yes. We send you a proof by email first. Nothing gets engraved until you say it looks right.

How do I send my details?

Email your names and year to galacticlaserengraving@gmail.com with your order number in the subject line. We take it from there.

How do I clean it?

Hand wash the slate and the wood with warm soapy water and dry it right away. Do not put it in the dishwasher. Wood and slate do not like it.

Will the engraving wear off?

No. The laser cuts into the slate itself. There is no ink and no coating to rub away.

Can I get the back engraved too?

Yes. The back is solid acacia wood with a large open area. Email us what you want on it and we will quote it.
